Food Relief

Working towards a hunger free society

Due to the current unprecedented circumstances, to protect our client and volunteers we have temporary close the food bank and soup kitchen until further notice. We are still operating a delivery-only service and continuing to to work directly with our partners to serve the community as best as we can.

Food Relief operates under the registered charity Morden Islamic Community Centre (MICC), giving emergency food and support to people in crisis across Merton. There are 13 million people in the UK who live below the poverty line, everyone has the right to food but sadly for some, getting enough food to survive is a real challenge

No one deserves to go hungry, so we aim to reach out to all our neighbours in need.

Saturday Food Bank

Emergency food parcels

Every Saturday we distribute emergency food parcels to those who are in need. If you find yourself in a situation where you need a food parcel. Just pop along to see us between 11am and 1pm on Saturday and one of the Food Relief team will be on hand to help.

Food Relief also run a monthly soup kitchen on the first Sunday of every month. We provide hot food and drinks, a warm place to spend the afternoon and a friendly ear.

Upcoming dates for our soup kitchen are detailed on the following link:
